IN NORTHWEST MISSOURI ...EASTERN WORTH COUNTY AT 558 PM CDT...A TORNADO WAS REPORTED ON THE GROUND BY MISSOURI HIGHWAY PATROL IN WORTH COUNTY ABOUT 7 MILES SOUTHWEST OF GRANT CITY...ABOUT 50 LNORTHEAST OF ST JOSEPH. THE TORNADO WAS MOVING EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR AND WAS MOVING ACROSS OPEN COUNTRY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT.
