000 TTAA00 KCOU 061838 SVRCOU MOC007-061945- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA MO 1237 PM CST FRI MAR 6 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 145 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...... IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI ...AUDRAIN COUNTY AT 1230 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF COLUMBIA NEAR CENTRALIA MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. SEVERAL REPORTS OF QUARTER TO GOLF BALL SIZED HAIL WERE REPORTED WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM AS IT MOVED THROUGH THE CITY OF COLUMBIA. THE THUNDERSTORM WILL ENTER SOUTHWEST AUDRAIN COUNTY BY 1240 PM AND NEAR MEXICO BETWEEN 1250 AND 115 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND NEAR 60 MPH OR MORE... LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. STAY INSIDE AND AWAY FROM WINDOWS. HEAVY RAINS CAN REDUCE VISIBILITY AND FLOOD ROADS QUI CKLY. DRIVERS SHOULD SLOW DOWN AND AVOID DRIVING INTO AREA WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. LA GREE
