SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MO
600 AM CDT SAT APR 11 1992

AT 600 AM CDT...A VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS OVER THE NORTHERN
PART OF KANSAS CITY.  AT 555 AM 1/4 TO I/2 INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED IN
GLADSTONE MISSOURI.  A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING FREQUENT LIGHTNING
AND BRIEF VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS IN PROGRESS AT THE KANSAS CITY
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.  THIS WAS THE STRONGEST STORM INDICATED BY
RADAR IN WESTCENTRAL AND NORTHWEST MISSOURI.  OTHER SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSHOWERS WERE SCATTERED TO THE EAST AND SOUTH OF KANSAS CITY.

THE STORM WAS MOVING TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH AND SHOULD MOVE
NEAR LIBERTY AND INDEPENDENCE MIS$SOURI BY 630 AM.

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES BE PREPARED TO TAKE SHELTER.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MO
630 AM CDT SAT APR 11 1992

AT 625 AM CDT...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED OVER WESTCENTRAL
MISSOURI.  THESE STORMS HAD PRODUCED ONE-HALF INCH HAIL IN THE
NORTHERN PART OF KANSAS CITY AT 600 AM AS THEY MOVED TO THE
SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH.  THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE LOCATED 20 MILES
EAST AND 25 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY.
OTHER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSHOWERS WERE SCATTERED TO THE EAST OF KANSAS
CITY TOWARD COLUMBIA.

THE STRONGEST STORMS TO THE EAST OF KANSAS CITY WILL MOVE TOWARD THE
COMMUNITIES OF ODESSA...PITTSVILLE...AND HOLDEN BY 700 A\M.  IF
THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES BE PREPARED TO TAKE SHELTER.
