THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTH CENTRAL IOWA

   ...EASTERN KOSSUTH COUNTY

AT 950 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 40 MILES WEST OF MASON
CITY...OR ABOUT 10 MILES NORTHEAST OF ALGONA.

THE KOSSUTH COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL AS THE STORM
PASSED OVER HIGHWAY 18 ABOUT 4 MILES EAST OF ALGONA...AT 950 PM.

MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR.  THIS STORM WAS MOVING
TOWARD TITONKA AND LAKOTA.

WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
