IAZALL-161540- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DES MOINES IA 950 AM CDT TUE JUN 16 1992 AT 932 AM CDT...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER FAR NORTHEAST IOWA...WHILE SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST IOWA. OVER FAR NORTHEAST IOWA THE SHOWERS AND STORMS WERE NORTHEAST OF A LINE FROM THE IOWA/MINNESOTA BORDER 55 MILES NORTH OF WATERLOO...NEAR MCINTIRE SOUTHEAST TO DUBUQUE. THE STRONGEST STORM IN THIS AREA WAS 35 MILES NORTHEAST OF WATERLOO NEAR WEST UNION. THIS STORM WILL PRODUCE VER HEAVY RAIN...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND SMALL HAIL. OVER SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST IOWA THE SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STORMS WERE LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM 5 MILES EAST OF LAMONI NORTHEAST TO OTTUMWA THEN SOUTHEAST TO BURLINGTON. A SMALL CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAD JUST DEVELOPED OVER SOUTHWEST IOWA. THIS CLUSTER WAS CENTERED 60 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DES MOINES.
