IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS ...NORTHERN EDWARDS COUNTY AT 755 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF KINSLEY...30 MILS NORTHEAST OF DODGE CITY. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL REACH KINSLEY AND LEWIS BY 740 PM CDT. THIS STORM IS LIKELY PRODUCING LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND TORRENTIAL RAINS. YOU SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AND STAY INSIDE UNTIL THE STORM PASSES. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. THE STORMS WERE MOVING EASTWARD AT 15 MILES AN HOUR AS THEY CONTINUED TO DEVELOP. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE GOING TO REACH ULYSSES AND HUGOTON BY 530 PM CDT...430 PM MDT. THESE STORMS WERE PRODUCING BRIEF HEAVY RAINS...GUSTY WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND POSSIBLY SOME SMALL HAIL.
