IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS ...FORD COUNTY AT 827 PM CDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES NORTHWEST OF DODGE CITY MOVING TO THE EAST-SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH. THIS STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE DODGE CITY AREA BY 845 PM CDT. STRONG WINDS ARE LIKELY WITH THIS STORM. PEOPLE IN DODGE CITY SHOULD TAKE COVER NOW! THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS DRIFTING VERY SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST AND SHOULD CONTINUE OVER THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF KEARNY COUNTY UNTIL 530 PM CDT. AT 540 PM CDT...WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...A FEW WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN...CONTINUED TO DEVELOP OVER SOUTHWEST KANSAS TO THE WEST OF THE DODGE CITY AREA. THE STRONGEST OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF GARDEN CITY KANSAS OR ABOUT 7 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF THE TOWN OF LAKIN AND 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ULYSSES OR OVER NORTHEAST MORTON COUNTY IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF KANSAS.
