THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND
SMALL STREAM FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  415 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHEAST OHIO
 
   ...ASHTABULA COUNTY
 
AT 205 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A POSSIBLE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
NEAR AUSTINBURG IN NORTHWEST ASHTABULA COUNTY. THIS STORM WAS MOVING
VERY SLOWLY TO THE EAST AT AROUND 15 MPH AND WAS PRODUCING LOCAL HEAVY
RAINS. THIS RAINFALL WILL SEND ADDITIONAL SMALL STREAMS IN THE AREA TO
NEAR FLOOD LEVELS.
 
MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.
