THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AKRON HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  400 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...S...
 
IN NORTHEAST OHIO
 
   ...PORTAGE COUNTY...SUMMIT COUNTY
 
THE FLOOD WARNING FOR SUMMIT AND PORTAGE COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST OHIO HAS
BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 4 O'CLOCK THIS AFTERNOON.
 
A CHECK WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AT 10 AM EST INDICATED A FEW ROADS
STILL CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.
 
IN SUMMIT COUNTY...HIGHLAND AND LIBERTY ROADS IN THE NORTHEAST PART
OF THE COUNTY WERE STILL UNDER WATER.
 
IN PORTAGE COUNTY...ROUTE 33 WAS UNDER 4 FEET OF WATER IN ONE SECTION
NEAR STREETSBORO WITH SEVERAL INCHES OF WATER OVER OTHER PARTS OF THAT
ROADWAY.
 
AT 10 AM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED ONLY LIGHT RAIN FALLING ON THE WARNING
AREAS. THE FLOOD WATERS WILL RECEDE SLOWLY THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS
AS COLDER AIR FILTERS INTO THE AREA.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD RBE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
