THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR EXTREME EASTERN ARAPAHOE AND EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES UNITL 630 PM. THE ADVISORY INCLUDES THE AREA FROM COTTONWOOD VALLEY IN EASTERN ARAPAHOE COUNTY TO 5 MILES EAST OF COLORADO HIGHWAY 71 AND FROM THE SOUTHERN COUNTY LINES OF ARAPAHOE AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES TO COLORADO HIGHWAY 36. THIS INCLUDES LAST CHANCE. AT 450 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON AND EASTERN ARAPAHOE COUNTIES. HEAVY RAIN HAS BEEN FALLING IN THIS AREA...ABOUT 9 MILES SOUTH OF LAST CHANCE...FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS SINCE 230 PM. DOPPLER RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES INDICATE 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN THIS REGION. THE STORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP OVER THIS PART OF THE COUNTIES AND ARE MOVING VERY LITTLE.
