000 TTAA00 KBHM 190039 SVRBHM ALC015-027-029-117-121-190145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BIRMINGHAM AL 740 PM CDT THU JUN 18 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTH ALABAMA ...SOUTHERN CALHOUN COUNTY...CLAY COUNTY...CLEBURNE COUNTY ...SHELBY COUNTY...TALLADEGA COUNTY AT 738 PM...RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM JUST WEST OF VINCENT...TO NEAR THE ANNISTON AND OXFORD AREAS. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 TO 20 MILES AN HOUR. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.

AT 140 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHWEST ALABAMA. THIS LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL INTENSIFY AS IT MOVES TO THE EAST-SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 30 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE WEST CENTRAL ALABAMA COUNTIES OF MARION...WINSTON AND CULLMAN BY 3 PM CDT. THE STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING STRONG GUSTY WINDS...HEAVY RAIN....
