TXZ001>009-NMZ005-009-013-OKZ001>003-090400- FLASH FLOOD STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX 700 PM CDT MON JUN 8 1992 ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT TONIGHT FOR ALL OF THE OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PANHANDLES... ...TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE WESTERN TWO THIRDS OF THE TEXAS PANHANDLE AND PARTS OF THE EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNTIL 11 PM CDT... A STRONG UPPER LEVEL LOW CONTINUED TO MOVE EASTWARD TOWARD THE PANHANDLES. THE UPWARD MOTION ASSOCIATED WITH THIS STORM COMBINED WITH THE MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR OVER THE REGION WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE PANHANDLES. HEAVY DOWNPOURS OF RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THE STRONGER STORMS TONIGHT. SINCE THE GROUND OVER THE AREA IS SATURATED DUE TO THE RECENT RAINS...ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL MAY PRODUCE FLASH FLOODING.
