A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT FOR MOST OF NORTHCENTRAL AND NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA. THIS WATCH EXTENDS EASTWARD FROM TIMBER LAKE... 30 MILES WEST OF MOBRIDGE TO THE MINNESOTA BORDER. AT 315 PM CDT...SCATTERED LIGHT SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN NORTHCENTRAL AND NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOSTLY SOUTH OF US HIWAY 12. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM WAS 10 MILES SOUTH OF ABERDEEN NEAR WARNER. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR. CONDITIONS REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.
