000 TTAA00 KTUL 120530 SVRTUL OKC001-021-120615- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 1229 AM CDT FRI APR 12 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES ... IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA ...NORTHERN ADAIR COUNTY...EASTERN CHEROKEE COUNTY AT 1225 AM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR TAHLEQUAH. HAIL UP TO QUARTER-SIZED HAS BEEN REPORTED IN TAHLEQUAH WITH THIS STORM. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

OKZ026>034-040-120530- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 1110 PM CDT THU APR 11 1991 ...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM FRIDAY FOR ALL OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA EXCEPT OTTAWA COUNTY... AT 1105 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR AT TULSA INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ADVANCING NORTH THROUGH SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA. THE NORTHERN EDGE OF THE PRECIPITATION EXTENDED FROM NEAR WALEETKA TO NEAR PAGE. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE IN PUSHMATAHA AND MCCURTAIN COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA. ANOTHER STRONG STORM WAS JUST EAST OF VERNON IN SOUTHERN MCINTOSH COUNTY. IN ADDITION...AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING INTO NORTHWEST CREEK COUNTY BUT WAS WEAKENING RAPIDLY. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTH NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND THE STRONGER STORMS SHOULD ENTER SOUTHERN LATIMER COUNTY BY MIDNIGHT. PERSONS IN EASTERN OKLAHOMA SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO THE POSSIBILIT@Y OF SEVERE WEATHER AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF SEVERE WEATHER IS OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
