OKZ026>031-130100- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 650 PM CDT FRI JUL 12 1991 ...THUNDERSTORMS INCREASING IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA... AT 645 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR AT TULSA SHOWED A SCATTERED LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM JUST NORTH OF NOWATA TO BARNSDALL TO FAIRFAX. THE STORMS ARE MOVING SOUTH SOUTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE APPROACHING VINITA...TULSA...AND SAPULPA BY AROUND 730 PM. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS APPEARS TO BE WIND GUSTS TO BETWEEN 30 AND 40 MILES AN HOUR. RADAR CURRENTLY INDICATES MOST RAINFALL TO BE OF LIGHT TO MODERATE INTENSITY. A COUPLE OF THUNDERSTORMS WERE ALSO DEVELOPING IN NORTHEAST ROGERS COUNTY NEAR CHELSEA. THESE STORMS APPEARED MORE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL. MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. STAY TUNED TO THIS STATION FOR THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
