NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA
730 PM CST MON FEB 18 1991

...THE TORNADO WATCH ISSUED EARLIER FOR SOUTHERN ARKANSAS HAS EXPIRED...

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS LINGERED OVER PARTS OF NORTH
LOUISIANA AND SOUTHERN ARKANSAS BUT CONTINUED TO DIMINISH IN INTENSITY.

AT 725 PM CST THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED A
25 MILE WIDE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSHOWERS THAT EXTENDED FROM NEAR
HAMBURG ARKANSAS ACROSS RUSTON LOUISIANA TO NEAR CONVERSE LOUISIANA.
ANOTHER 60 MILE WIDE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM
NEAR WARREN ARKANSAS TO NEAR OKAY ARKANSAS. THE STORMS NEAR BLEVINS
ARKANSAS WAS LIKELY PRODUCING STRONG GUSTY WINDS...BRIEF HEAVY RAINS
AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. MOVEMENT WAS EAST NORTHEAST NEAR 15 MPH.

THE THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER EXISTS ONCE AGAIN OVER THE AREA LATER
TONIGHT AS ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL DISTURBENCE SPREADS EAST OVER THE
REGION.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE BEGINNING TO DEVELOP OVER NORTH CENTRAL
TEXAS. THESE STORMS WILL FLARE UP ALONG A LINE FROM NEAR IDABEL
OKLAHOMA TO PALESTINE ?TEXAS. SEVERE STORMS WILL AGAIN OVERSPREAD
THE ARKLATEX LATE TONIGHT INTO THE WEE HOURS TUESDAY.
