THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF MISSOURI
      VERNON

AT 440 PM CST AN UNCONFIRMED TORNADO WAS SIGHTED 10 MILES NORTHEAST
OF NEVADA NEAR RICHARDS MISSOURI.  THE TORNADO WAS MOVING NORTHEAST
50 MPH.

THE TORNADO WILL MOVE ACROSS THE COMMUNITIES OF HORTON AND ARTHUR
MISSOURI IN NORTH CENTRAL VERNON COUNTY.  THE WARNING INCLUDES THE
CITY OF NEVADA.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE IS IN
A BASEMENT.  GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
