...THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN AROUND THE SAN
LUIS VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON...

AT 1230 LIMON RADAR REPORTED SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH HEAVY RAIN... WERE IN AN AREA 70 MILES
WIDE...FROM SOUTHEAST OF ALAMOSA...TO NORTHWEST OF FORT COLLINS.
MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.

THESE STORMS CAN PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WINDS...HAIL...FREQUENT
DANGEROUS LIGHTING AND BRIEF PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING FLOODING IN LOW LYING AREAS.

RESIDENTS OF THE VALLEY SHOULD BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER
CONDITIONS AND TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS_ SHOULD DANGEROUS WEATHER
