FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  815 PM PDT
FOR PEOPLE ON THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...S...

IN NORTHEAST WASHINGTON

   ...NORTHERN SPOKANE COUNTY...SOUTHERN STEVENS COUNTY

THE LATEST SATELLITE IMAGERY AND RADAR INFORMATION SHOW AN AREA OF
THUNDERSTORMS...THE LEADING EDGE OF WHICH IS ABOUT 30 MILES WEST OF
SPOKANE. THE AREA IS DRIFTING TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AND WILL CONTINUE
TO INTENSIFY AND BE A THREAT FOR THE NEXT 2 HOURS.
    STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR YOUR LOCAL NEWS SOURCE FOR THE
LATEST INFORMATION ON THE STORM.  FURTHER STATEMENTS WILL BE ISSUED AS
CONDITIONS CHANGE.


BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT.  IT'S
IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR
CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS.  CAMPERS SHOULD
AVOID CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING RAINS.
