000 TTAA00 KSTC 290138 SVRSTC MNC095-290230- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST CLOUD MINNESOTA 838 PM CDT FRI JUN 28 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST CLOUD MINNESOTA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...NORTHERN MILLE LACS COUNTY INCLUDING THE CITIES OF ONAMIA...WAHKON AND ISLE. AT 830 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED JUST EAST OF BRAINERD AND WAS MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH. THIS STORM HAS PRODUCED LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS WITH A POSSIBLE TORNADO IN THE BRAINERD AREA AROUND 815 PM THIS FRIDAY EVENING. ALL PERSONS ON MILLE LACS LAKE SHOULD SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. NNNN

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAVE CONTINUED TO DEVELOPE NORTH AND NORTHEAST OF THE TWIN CITIES ACROSS PARTS OF ISANTI AND CHISAGO COUNTIES OF EASTERN MINNESOTA INTO POLK AND BURNETT COUNTIES OF NORTHWEST WISCONSIN. THESE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED FROM AROUND RUSH CITY AND CAMBRIDGE TO NEAR TAYLORS FALLS ON THE MINNESOTA SIDE OF THE ST CROIX RIVER AND FROM CUSHING TO BALSAM LAKE IN ADJACENT WISCONSIN. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES...
