IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA ...SOUTHERN DODGE COUNTY...NORTHERN MOWER COUNTY AT 700 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES NORTH OF AUSTIN IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA. THIS STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH TOWARD BROWNSDALE...HAYFIELD...WALTHAM...AND VERNON. CITIES INCLUDED IN THE WARNING ARE BROWNSDALE... HAYFIELD...WALTHAM...AND VERNON MINNESOTA. THIS THUNDERSTORM PRODUCED HAIL 1 INCH TO 1 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER WEST OF AUSTIN NEAR OAKDALE. HAIL 3/8 INCH TO 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER WAS REPORTED IN THE CITY OF AUSTIN. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE. THERE HAS BEEN SEVERE WEATHER IN NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA AND THE STORMS WHICH PRODUCED IT WILL BE PUSHING NORTHEAST INTO MINNESOTA THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS. RADAR INDICATES THAT THE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DIMINISHED IN STRENGTH AS THEY PUSH EAST. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 TO 30 MPH.
