IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA ...WESTERN MOWER COUNTY AT 620 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF AUSTIN MINNESOTA NEAR THE TOWN OF MYRTLE. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH TOWARD THE TOWNS OF AUSTIN... BROWNSDALE...DEXTER...AND WALTHAM. THE STORM SHOULD REACH THE AUSTIN AREA AROUND 630 PM AND REACH BROWNSDALE...DEXTER...AND WATHAM BY 645 PM CDT. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL ...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. CITIES INCLUDED IN THE WARNING AND IN THE PATH OF THE STORM ARE AUSTIN...BROWNSDALE...DEXTER...AND WALTHAM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. THERE HAS BEEN SEVERE WEATHER IN NORTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA AND THE STORMS WHICH PRODUCED IT WILL BE PUSHING NORTHEAST INTO MINNESOTA THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS. RADAR INDICATES THAT THE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DIMINISHED IN STRENGTH AS THEY PUSH EAST. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 TO 30 MPH.
