IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...WEST CENTRAL KANDIYOHI COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA ...EASTERN CHIPPEWA COUNTY...SOUTHEASTERN SWIFT COUNTY AT 3 00 PM CDT A THUNDERSTORM THAT HAD PRODUCED LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND WAS LOCATED 25 MILES WEST OF WILLMAR MINNESOTA. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH. PEOPLE IN THE TOWNS OF DEGRAFF...MURDOCK...KERKHOVEN...PENNOCK... MNZ013-091945- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST CLOUD MINNESOTA 149 PM CDT SUN JUN 9 1991 AT 1 45 PM CDT A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLE LARGE HAIL WAS JUST CROSSING FROM SOUTH DAKOTA INTO WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA NEAR THE TOWN OF MARIETTA IN LAC QUI PARLE COUNTY. NO SEVERE WEATHER HAD BEEN REPORTED FROM THIS THUNDERSTORM BUT THE STORMS APPEARANCE ON RADAR SHOWS THAT IT COULD EASILY PRODUCE LARGE HAIL. THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL MOVE EAST NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 25 MPH. BETWEEN 2 AND 2 30 PM CDT THE STORM WILL MOVE OVER THE TOWNS OF MADISON AND DAWSON IN LAC QUI PARLE COUNTY...AND POSSIBLY REACH MILAN IN CHIPPEWA COUNTY. PEOPLE IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA SHOULD BE VERY ALERT FOR THE REST OF THE AFTERNOON. THOSE OUT ON AREA LAKES SHOULD BE READY TO HEAD TO SHORE IF THE SKY BECOMES THREATENING.
