THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST CLOUD MINNESOTA   HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA
 
   ...MEEKER COUNTY...SOUTHERN STEARNS COUNTY
 
AT 1110 PM CDT FLOODING WAS OCCURRING AT PAYNESVILLE MINNESOTA WHICH
IS 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ST CLOUD. ALSO FLOODING IS LIKELY OVER PARTS
OF MEEKER COUNTY WHERE 3 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THE
PAST THREE HOURS.
 
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE OVER MEEKER AND SOUTHERN STEARNS
COUNTIES AND AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN COULD FALL OVER THE
SAME AREA OVER THE NEXT TWO HOURS.
 
THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEAST.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A
SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
