PEARL-RIVER... AND PERRY UNTIL 9 AM CDT... MOBILE AT 725 AM CDT SHOWED ONLY ISOLATED SHOWERS OVER SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI WITH THE STORM SYSTEM STILL NORTH AND NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHEAST COUNTIES OF MISSISSIPPI. WEATHER PROBLEMS FOR THE PEARL-RIVER AND PERRY COUNTIES FOR THE NEXT COUPLE HOURS WILL ONLY BE IN THE FORM OF GUSTY WINDS RANGING FROM THE LOW TO UPPER 20S FROM THE SOUTH. ALZ013-015-016-MSZ014-013-291615- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 1010 AM CDT MON APR 29 1991 ...A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI AND SOUTHWEST ALABAMA UNTIL 100 PM... ALL COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI AND IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA ARE UNDER A TORNADO WATCH UNTIL EARLY AFTERNOON. WEATHER SERVICE RADARS INDICATED AT 1000 AM AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE LEADING EDGE ALONG A THOMASVILLE TO MILLRY ALABAMA LINE SOUTHWEST TO NEAR RICHTON AND POPLARVILLE MISSISSIPPI. THE AREA WAS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT 10 MPH WHILE THE INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE INDICATED JUST WEST OF LAKE PONCHARTRAIN IN LOUISIANA. THE ATMOSPHERE REMAINS MOIST AND UNSTABLE THIS MORNING AND WILL BECOME MORE SO BY AFTERNOON. RESIDENTS IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI AND SOUTHWEST ALABAMA SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE WEATHAER TODAY AND BE READY TO TAKE QUICK ACTION IF SEVERE WEATHER IS OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
