THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      SOUTHERN PLATTE

AT 1110PMCDT RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO ABOUT 10 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF COLUMBUS MOVING TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE IN
THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO TAKE SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF POSSIBLE.
OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  AVOID
WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES...TAKE COVER IN A REINFORCED
BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.

AT 735 PM CDT...RADAR SHOWED A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN AND
POSSIBLY SMALL HAIL 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TRENTON...OR 65 MILES SOUTH
SOUTHWEST OF NORTH PLATTE.  THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

PERSONS EASTERN HITCHCOCK AND WESTERN RED WILLOW COUNTIES SHOULD BE
PREPARED FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS...SMALL HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND
HEAVY RAINS AS THIS THUNDERSTORM MOVES THROUGH DURING THE NEXT HOUR.
