MSZ002-002 SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 345 AM CST TUE FEB 19 1991 AT 345AM...THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WERE INDICATED OVER WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI EXTENDING INTO SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF GREEVILLE AND GREENWOOD. A LARGE BAND OF MOSTLY LIGHT RAIN AND OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER MOST OF NORHTWEST MISSISSIPPI. FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS ARE NOW BEING ISSUSED FOR SOME DELTA COUNTIES. ALONG WITH THE HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY WINDS AND LIGHTNING WILL LIKELY DEVELOP WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS. BY LATER THIS MORNING THERE WILL BE A THREAT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS SO RESIDENTS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR CHANGING CONDITIONS. ALSO A TORNADO WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR BOLIVAR...WASHINGTON... ISSAQUENA..JEFFERSON...WARREN...ADAMS...FRANKLIN...AND WILKINSON COUNTIES UNTIL 10 AM.
