A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH WAS ISSUED FOR NORTHERN INDIANA AND WILL BE
IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING. THE AREA AFFECTED WAS NORTH OF
A LINE FROM LAFAYETTE TO ABOUT 10 MILES NORTH OF MUNCIE.

AT 650 PM EST A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN EXTREME NORTHERN
NORTHERN INDIANA AND EXTENDED FROM CROWN POINT IN CENTRAL LAKE COUNTY
TO SOUTH BEND AND ANGOLA. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE 7 MILES EAST OF
VALPARAISO IN PORTER COUNTY AND ALSO 5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CROWN POINT.

THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTH OF EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR AND SHOULD
BE AT WANATAH IN WEST-CENTRAL PORTER COUNTY AND JUST NORTH OF HEBRON IN
SOUTHEAST LAKE COUNTY BY 615 PM EST.

PERSONS IN NORTHERN INDIANA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THREATENING WEATHER

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR NORTHERN INDIANA UNTIL

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR EXTREME NORTHERN INDIANA UNTIL
10 PM EST.

AT 740 PM EST STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM 30 MILES WEST OF
LAFAYETTE TO 30 MILES SOUTH OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA.  THESE STORMS
WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH.   WINDS OF 40 TO 45 MPH WERE REPORTED
WITH THESE STORMS IN ROCHESTER INDIANA...25 MILES NORTHEAST OF
LOGANSPORT.  THESE STORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE LOGANSPORT AND LAFAYETTE
AREAS BY 9 PM.  IN ADDITION TO STRONG WINDS...THESE STORMS MAY CONTAIN
HEAVY RAIN AND SMALL H.AIL.
