1015 AM EDT WED JUN 19 1991

...SHOWERS DUMP HEAVY RAIN IN ANDERSON...

AT 10 AM EDT HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS WERE OCCURRING JUST EAST OF
LAKE HARTWELL...FROM IVA NORTHWARD ACROSS THE CITY OF ANDERSON
TO PENDLETON. THE SHOWERS WERE DRIFTING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST
AT LESS THAN 10 MILES AN HOUR.  THE HEAVIRST RAIN WAS FALLING
IN AND AROUND ANDERSON.  AT THE ANDERSON AIRPORT RAIN DURING
THE LAST HOUR AND A HALF MEASURED THREE INCHES.

THE HEAVY SHOWERS ARE MOVING INTO UPSTATE AREAS THAT RECIEVED
HEAVY RAIN LAST EVENING...AND THE GROUND IS ALREADY WET. THESE
SLOW MOVING SHOWERS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE SOME LOCAL FLOODING...
ESPECIALLY IN AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE.  SOME RODAWAYS WILL
COVERED WITH WATER...AND MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO DRIVE WITH
CAUTION IN THE GREENVILLE AND ANDERSON VICINITIES DURING THE
NEXT TWO TO THREE HOURS.

...SHOWERS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP NEAR LAKE HARTWELL...

RAIN SHOWERS MOVE SLOWLY OVER ANDERSON COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA.

AT 1105 AM SHOWERS WERE PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN FROM
LAKE HARTWELL THROUGH CENTRAL ANDERSON COUNTY TO THE PIEDMONT
COMMUNITY...AND WERE SPREADING INTO SOUTHERN GREENVILLE COUNTY.

THE SHIRIFFS OFFICE IN ANDERSON REPORTED SOME ROADWAYS UNDER
WATER EAST AND SOUTHWEST OF ANDERSON CITY AT 1045 AM WITH A FEW
AUTOMOBILES STALLED.

THE SLOW MOVING SHOWERS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE LOCAL FLOODING...
ESPECIALLY IN FLOOD PRONE SECTIONS FROM ANDERSON TO GREENVILLE
DURING THE NEXT TWO HOURS.  MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO DRIVE WITH
CAUTION...AND SHOULD NOT ATTEMP TO CROSS FLOOD ROADS.
