AT 555 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO WESTERN SHAWANO COUNTY NEAR WITTENBERG AND EXTENDING SOUTHWEST INTO PORTAGE COUNTY NEAR AMHERST JUNCTION. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE EAST AT AROUND 30 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL MOVE INTO CENTAL SHAWANO COUNTY NEAR THE CITY OF SHAWANO AND EXTEND TO WESTERN WAUPACA COUNTY NEAR THE CITY OF WAUPACA BY 630 PM. AT 635 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS NEAR THE CITY OF SHAWANO IN CENTRAL SHAWANO COUNTY. ANOTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR MARION IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE EAST AT AROUND 30 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL MOVE TO CENTRAL OCONTO...NORTHERN BROWN AND OUTAGAMIE COUNTIES BY 730 PM. THE SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT IN SHAWANO COUNTY REPORTED HEAVY RAINS AND WIND GUSTS ESTIMATED TO 35 MILES AN HOUR AT TIGERTON AT 625 PM. THE CITY OF SHAWANO HAS ALSO HAD POWER OUTAGES DUbE TO LIGHTNING STRIKES. THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING WIND GUSTS TO 50 MILES AN HOUR...HEAVY RAINS...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
