527 PM EDT SAT APR 27 1991

     ...LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING NORTHWEST GEORGIA...

A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS INTENSIFYING OVER NORTHEAST ALABAMA LATE
THIS AFTERNOON. AT 515 PM EDT RADAR INDICATED A NEARLY SOLID LINE OF
STORMS DEVELOPING FROM NEAR SCOTTSBORO SOUTH THROUGH ANNISTON TO
TALLADEGA. THIS LINE WAS MOVING EAST NEAR 40 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO
THE EXTREME WEST GEORGIA COUNTIES OF WALKER...CHATTOOGA...FLOYD...
POLK...HARALSON...AND CARROLL...WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR.

THERE WERE NUMEROUS REPORTS OF STORM DAMAGE OVER CENTRAL ALABAMA AS
THESE STORMS PASSED EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON.

PERSONS IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA SHOULD STAY ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING
WEATHER CONDITIONS OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS. BE READY TO TAKE SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS IF ADVERSE WEATHER THREATENS.
