AT 410 PM EDT COLUMBUS WEATHER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS FROM LAFAYETTE AND
OPELIKA ALABAMA AND COLUMBUS GEORGIA EXTENDING NORTHWARD
TO LAGRANGE...HOGANSVILLE AND NEWNAN GEORGIA. MOVEMENT
OF ALL ACTIVITY WAS EAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.

FOR A LARGE PART OF CENTRAL AND NORTH GEORGIA...

AT 430 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN MACON SHOWED THUNDERSTORMS
INCREASING OVER GEORGIA. IN CENTRAL GEORGIA THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE
WEST AND SOUTHWEST OF MACON...NORTHWEST OF UNADILLA...AND EAST OF
FITZGERALD. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 20 MPH.

RADAR SHOWED HAIL IN THE STORM NORTHWEST OF UNADILLA. THESE STORMS
WILL ALSO PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING ALONG
WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN.
