FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA
 
   ...CHATTOOGA COUNTY
 
AT 805 PM...FLOODING OF STREETS AND CREEKS HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN THE
COUNTY. TOWN CREEK HAS RISEN OVER ITS BANKS AND HAS FLOODED SOME
STREETS IN SUMMERVILLE. THERE ARE REPORTS OF CREEKS OVERFLOWING THEIR
BANKS IN THE TOWN OF TRION...AND RACCOON CREEK IN THE TOWN OF BERRYTON
IS FLOODING.
 
IF YOU LIVE NEAR THESE AREAS...BE PREPARED TO TAKE QUICK ACTION IF
RISING WATER IS OBSERVED.  RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO FALL WITH POSSIBLE
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ANOTHER 1/2 TO 1 INCH DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF
HOURS.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. : IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
