FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  315 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE
 
   ...NORTHERN HAMILTON COUNTY...RHEA COUNTY
 
AT 11 PM EST...THE CHATTANOOGA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF
RAIN...HEAVY IN PLACES...MOVING INTO EAST AND SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE.
 
THIS RAIN...FALLING ON ALREADY SATURATED GROUND WILL PRODUCE RAPID
RUNOFF...RESULTING IN FLASH FLOODING.
 
PINEY CREEK AT SPRING CITY...IN NORTHERN RHEA COUNTY...IS NEAR THE
TOP OF THE LEVEE ON THE SAND TOWN SIDE AND WILL LIKELY SPILL OVER
INTO THE SAND TOWN SECTION SHORTLY. RESIDENTS IN THIS SAND TOWN
SECTION SHOULD BEGIN TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
 
ALSO...SODDY-DAISY IN NORTHERN HAMILTON COUNTY IS GETTING HEAVY RAIN
AND WILL LIKELY SEE FLASH FLOODING AS THE RAIN CONTINUES TO FALL.
