THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN VICTORIA HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...VICTORIA COUNTY
 
AT 1025 AM CST THE VICTORIA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTED THAT MOST
MAJOR COUNTY ROADS IN VICTORIA REMAIN CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.
THEREFORE...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING HAS BEEN EXTENDED. ALTHOUGH RAIN
HAS ENDED MOMENTARILY OVER THE AREA...VICTORIA RADAR SHOWED
THUNDERSTORMS REDEVELOPING TO THE WEST AND SOUTHWEST FROM PEARSALL TO
COTULLA. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINS THIS AFTERNOON WILL ONLY WORSEN THE
FLOOD PROBLEM.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD B4E
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
