SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MO 633 PM CDT WED JUL 10 1991 ...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR NORTHWEST MISSOURI AND NORTHEAST KANSAS UNTIL 1100 PM... ...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT TONIGHT FOR THE NORTHERN ONE-HALF OF MISSOURI... AT 626 PM...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM CENTRAL KANSAS TO NORTHCENTRAL MISSOURI...AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING BRIEF VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER NORTHEAST KANSAS WITH ONE STRONG STORM TO THE EAST OF KANSAS CITY DUMPING VERY HEAVY RAIN. IN KANSAS...STRONGEST STORMS WERE SCATTERED IN A 10 MILE WIDE AREA... FROM 10 MILES WEST OF TOPEKA KANSAS TO 40 MILES NORTH OF WICHITA AND IN MISSOURI THE STRONGEST STORM WAS ABOUT 15 MILES EAST OF KANSAS CITY.
