FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...S...
 
IN CENTRAL MISSOURI
 
   ...EASTERN BENTON COUNTY...CAMDEN COUNTY
   ...SOUTHERN MORGAN COUNTY
 
AT 920 AM THE COLUMBIA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A BAND OF VERY STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS THAT STRETCHED FROM SEDALIA TO THE LAKE OF THE OZARKS.
DUE TO ALREADY SATURATED GROUNDS...SWOLLEN CREEKS...AND THE THREAT OF
ADDITIONAL VERY HEAVY RAINS...FLASH FLOODING WILL OCCURR.
 
SEVERAL SECTIONS OF ROADS IN MORGAN AND CAMDEN COUNTY HAVE BEEN REPORTED
SUNDER WATER...ALONG WITH A REPORT OF STRANDED CAMPERS AND HOMES CUT OFF 
RISING WATERS.
 
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FORD FLOODED ROADS IN YOUR VEHICLE.  IF YOU LIVE IN AN
AREA SUBJECT TO FLOODING...TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS IMMEDIATELY.
 
 
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
