SCOTT CITY ....

AFTERNOON AND TONGIHT ....
THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO MOVE THROUGH SOUTHWEST KANSAS AT 240 PM CDT
(140 PM MDT). THE STRONGEST ACTIVITY WAS LOCATED IN KEARNEY COUNTY
ABOUT 10 MILES NORTH OF KENDALL OR 40 MILES WEST OF GARDEN CITY. THIS
LINE CONTINUED TO MOVE TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH AND WILL BE IN THE
LAKIN AND DEERFIELD AREAS BY 300 PM CDT (200 PM MDT).
PERSONS IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS CAN EXPECT THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP WHICH
CAN PRODCUE LARGE AMOUNTS OF RAIN...GUSTY WINDS...AND LARGE HAIL.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST KANSAS TODAY AND
TONIGHT. SOME THUNDERSTORMS MAY BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING OVER AN INCH OF
RAIN OVER SATURATED SOIL...WHICH COULD CAUSE FLASH FLOODING IN LOW LYING
AREAS.
