OHIO IS APT TO GET A LOT OF THUNDERY WEATHER OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE A GOOD BET IN OHIO BOTH TONIGHT AND
SUNDAY. FOR SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD
BECOME LESS LIKELY... BUT SOME COULD STILL OCCUR.

SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS THAT WILL AFFECT NORTHWEST OHIO TONIGHT COULD
BRING DAMAGING WINDS OR LARGE HAIL... AND A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH
IS IN EFFECT THERE UNTIL 10 PM. MAJOR CITIES IN THE WATCH AREA
INCLUDE BOWLING GREEN... DEFIANCE... FINDLAY... AND TOLEDO. BRIEF
TORRENTIAL RAINS FROM THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ANYWHERE IN THE
STATE TONIGHT.

ALONG WITH A PERSISTENT THREAT OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS... OHIO WILL
SEE CONTINUED WARM HUMID WEATHER FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. LOWS BOTH
TONIGHT AND SUNDAY NIGHT ARE FORECAST TO BE FROM 65 TO 70. HIGHS BOTH
SUNDAY AND MEMORIAL DAY ARE PREDICTED TO BE NEAR 85. NORMALLY AT THIS
TIME OF YEAR LOWS ARE FROM THE UPPER 40S TO THE MID 50S AND HIGHS ARE
IN THE MID 70S.

TODAY IN OHIO BROUGHT VARIABLE CLOUDINESS WITH DRY WEATHER TO THE
SOUTHERN COUNTIES... AND VARIABLE CLOUDINESS WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE NORTH. MOST PLACES SAW AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES IN
THE MID OR UPPER 80S... BUT THE MERCURY CLIMBED INTO THE 90S IN THE
COLUMBUS AREA.

THE AFTERNOON WEATHER MAP SHOWED A COLD FRONT JUST NORTH OF LAKE ERIE
AND A SYSTEM OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE EASTERN THIRD OF THE UNITED
STATES. THE COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO TURN INTO A WARM FRONT FROM
TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW... AND MOVE TO THE EAST COAST MONDAY. THE HIGH
PRESSURE SYSTEM IS UNLIKELY TO CHANGE MUCH OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR WILLIAMS... DEFIANCE...
FULTON... HENRY... PAULDING... LUCAS... AND WOOD COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST
OHIO UNTIL 1000 PM EDT.

AT 500 PM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN
EXTENDING FROM NEAR WAUSEON IN FULTON COUNTY SOUTH THROUGH HENRY
COUNTY AND INTO NORTHERN PUTNAM COUNTY.  THESE STORMS WERE MOVING
EAST AT 25 MPH.  THE STORMS SHOULD BE INTO WEST TOLEDO AROUND 530 PM.

SOME THUNDERSTORMS THAT WILL AFFECT NORTHWEST OHIO THIS EVENING COULD
PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS OR LARGE HAIL.  REMAIN ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING
WEATHER CONDUITIONS.  IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES... SEEK SHELTER.
