THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A TORNADO
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

IN NORTHEASTERN COLORADO
     SOUTHEASTERN LOGAN AND NORTHEASTERN WASHINGTON

INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING TOWNS/CITIES
     FLEMING...OTIS...STERLING AND AKRON 

AT 1213 PM MDT SEVERAL FUNNEL CLOUDS WERE REPORTED FROM A LINE OF 
THUNDERSTORMS IN EASTERN WASHINGTON AND EASTERN LOGAN COUNTIES.  
FUNNELS WERE REPORTED SINCE 1210 PM AT 10 MILES SOUTH AND 20 MILES 
EAST OF STERLING...AND ABOUT 10 MILES EAST OF AKRON.  

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THE LINE OF STORMS
MOVING NORTH AT 15 TO 20 MPH.  

THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE DURING A TORNADO IS IN A BASEMENT.
GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR OTHER PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.  IF NO
BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF THE
BUILDING IN AN INTERIOR HALLWAY OR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET.  USE
BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO COVER YOUR BODY AND ALWAYS STAY FROM
WINDOWS.
