...THUNDERSTORMS ARE BUILDING ACROSS SOUTHERN NEVADA AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON
AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THIS EVENING...
MOIST...UNSTABLE AIR REMAINS OVER SOUTHERN NEVADA TODAY AND THUNDERSTORMS
ARE BEGINNING TO DEVELOP AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS
MAY PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND HAIL.
LOCAL FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS AND NORMALLY DRY WASHES IS POSSIBLE
THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. REMEMBER NEVER ATTEMPT TO CROSS A FLOODED
ROADWAY...EITHER ON FOOT OR IN YOUR CAR.
GUSTY WINDS ASSOCIATED WITH THUNDERSTORMS WILL CAUSE LOCAL AREAS

HOT AND MOIST AIR REMAINS OVER THE GREAT BASIN AND IS CAUSING WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN NEVADA AND THE EASTERN DESERTS OF CALIFORNIA. THE LAS VEGAS WEATHER RADAR AND LIGHTNING DETECTORS SHOW THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS WESTERN CLARK COUNTY AND SOUTHWESTERN LINCOLN COUNTY. THE MOST ACTIVE THUNDERSTORM IS A FEW MILES WEST OF MOUNTAIN PASS ALONG INTERSTATE 15. MOVEMENT OF THIS STORM IS FROM THE SOUTH AT 10 TO 15 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE OF THE HIGH BASED TYPE AND WILL PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS TO OVER 50 MPH AND LOCAL AREAS OF BLOWING SAND THAT WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO NEAR ZERO MILES...AT TIMES. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL ALSO PRODUCE DEADLY LIGHTNING. PEOPLE INVOLVED IN OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES...ESPECIALLY MOTORISTS AND BOATERS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT IF THUNDER`STORMS DEVELOPE IN THEIR LOCATION.
