...BIG WEATHER CHANGES IN STORE FOR EASTERN OKLAHOMA TODAY...

AFTER A VERY WARM AND DRY NOVEMBER...EASTERN OKLAHOMA WILL UNDERGO
MAJOR WEATHER CHANGES TODAY. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL PLUNGE SOUTHWARD
FROM KANSAS THIS MORNING...AND WILL DROP TEMPERATURES 30 DEGREES IN A
FEW HOURS. THIS COLD FRONT COMBINED WITH A POWERFUL UPPER LEVEL STORM
SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE THUNDERSTORMS OVER MOST OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA
TODAY... WITH THE POSSIBILITY SOME OF THESE STORMS BECOMING SEVERE.

RESIDENTS OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA SHOULD NOT BE CAUGHT OFF GUARD BY THE
WARM SPRING-LIKE WEATHER THIS MORNING. BY AFTERNOON...TEMPERATURES
WILL LIKELY BE FALLING INTO THE 40S WITH A NORTH WIND OF 20 TO 30
MILES AN HOUR MAKING IT FEEL EVEN COLDER. THIS WILL ALSO BE THE
COLDEST NIGHT OF THE FALL SEASON...WITH AN OVERNIGHT LOW IN TULSA
EXPECTED AROUND 30. TEMPERATURES IN SOME OF THE OUT-LYING AREAS AND
VALLEYS OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA WILL LIKELY FALL INTO THE 20S BY WEDNESDAY
MORNING.

A CHANCE THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP IS ALSO IN THE FORECAST
TODAY...BUT THE MOST FAVORED AREAS FOR SEVERE WEATHER SEEMS TO BE
NORTH AND EAST OF OKLAHOMA IN MISSOURI AND ILLINOIS. RESIDENTS SHOULD
REMAIN ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF STRONG STORMS TODAY. THESE STORMS
WILL MOVE QUICKLY TO THE NORTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR ONCE THEY
DEVELOP...AND WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS AND
SOME HAIL.

SKIES WILL START TO CLEAR SLOWLY TONIGHT WITH THE COOL WEATHER
REMAINING FOR SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE A SLOW WARMUP STARTS FRIDAY.
