000 TTAA00 KFSM 091528 SVRFSM ARC007-091615- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT SMITH AR 1027 AM CDT SAT JUN 9 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT SMITH HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS ...BENTON COUNTY RADAR AT 1025 AM WAS SHOWING A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN CENTRAL BENTON COUNTY... MOVEMENT WAS SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

OKC131-143-147-091230- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 621 AM CDT SAT JUN 9 1990 AT 6 10 AM THE TULSA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA. THE STRONGEST OF THESE STORMS WAS ABOUT 20 MILES NORTH OF TULSA...BETWEEN VERA AND OOLOGAH. THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL HAIL...WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. THIS STORM IS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH...AND WILL LIKELY PASS NEAR COLLINSVILLE AND CLAREMORE WITHIN THE NEXT HALF HOUR. RESIDENTS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO THE POSSIBLITY OF BRIEF HEAVY RAINS...SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS UNTIL THE STORMS HAVE PASSED THROUGH ROGERqS COUNTY.
