THE WATCH AREA IS GENERALLY WEST OF A LINE FROM MANKATO TO HUTCHINSON. THUNDERSTORMS THAT HAD PRODUCED HEAVY RAINS EARLIER IN THE AFTERNOON HAD MOVED EAST INTO MISSOURI. AT ABOUT 430 PM RADAR INDICATED ONLY A FEW SHOWERS SCATTERED BETWEEN LAWRENCE AND KANSAS CITY MOVING TO THE EAST SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 20 MPH. NO SEVERE WEATHER WAS OVER NORTHEAST KANSAS HOWEVER A LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS SOME SEVERE WERE IN CENTRAL KANSAS NEAR SALINA. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 20 MPH.
