000 TTAA00 KTLH 292231 SVRTLH GAC253-292300- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL 625 PM EDT WED AUG 29 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TALLAHASSEE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST GEORGIA ...WEST CENTRAL SEMINOLE COUNTY AT 620 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED OVER THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL PORTIONS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST GEORGIA. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS SHOWING VERY LITTLE MOVEMENT. PERSONS IN THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL PORTIONS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE COVER IF THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE SIGHTED. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.

ANOTHER THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED IN NORTHEAST THOMAS COUNTY OF GEORGIA. MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS WAS SLOWLY TO THE SOUTH. PERSONS IN THE VICINITY OF THESE STORMS...ESPECIALLY BOATERS ON LAKE SEMINOLE IN THE TRI STATE AREA SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR STRONG WINDS VERY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO.
