THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  945 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES
 
IN  TEXAS
 
   ...SUTTON COUNTY
 
THE UNSTABLE AND VERY MOIST AIR OVER THE CONCHO VALLEY AND HILL
COUNTRY PRODUCED MORE RAINS ON THE ALREADY SOAKED GROUND IN SUTTON
COUNTY. ABOUT A HALF INCH OF RAIN FELL OVER EASTERN SUTTON COUNTY
AND FM ROADS 1691 AND 864 WERE CLOSED AGAIN EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON.
FM ROAD 189 AT THE SUTTON/VAL VERDE COUNTY LINE WHERE IT CROSSES THE
DRY DEVILS RIVER REMAINED CLOSED LATE THIS AFTERNOON.
 
MORE RAIN IS ANTICIPATED OVER THE NORTHWEST HILL COUNTRY AND CONCHO
VALLEY TONIGHT. ADDITIONAL RAINS ON THE SATURATED GROUND WILL RESULT
IN ALMOST TOTAL RUNOFF AND FLOODING OR FLASH FLOODING COULD OCCUR.
 
PERSONS IN THE AREAS WITH WATER-LOGGED GROUND SHOULD KEEP AN EYE ON
THE WEATHER SITUATION...AND BE READY TO TAKE ACTION IF THE WATER
BEGINS TO RISE.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED.M..ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
