THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL NOON CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES
 
IN  TEXAS
 
   ...EASTERN MENARD COUNTY...SUTTON COUNTY
 
EARLY THIS WEDNESDAY MORNING A FEW ROADS IN THE WARNED AREA REMAINED
CLOSED DUE TO WATER OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. THOSE ROADS CLOSED IN
SUTTON COUNTY WERE FM ROADS 189 AND 864. IN MENARD COUNTY...FM 1311
AND 2092 EAST OF MENARD REMAIN CLOSED ALTHOUGH FM 864 FROM FT MCKAVETT
TO U.S. HIGHWAY 190 WAS REOPENED ALONG WITH 2092 WEST OF MENARD OVER
NIGHT. WITH NO RAINFALL OCCURRING OVER THE AREA DURING THE LAST 48
HOURS...WATER LEVELS HAVE CONTINUED TO FALL THROUGH THE NIGHT.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
