THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
      SOUTHWEST ALAMANCE...SOUTHEAST GUILFORD...NORTHEAST 
      RANDOLPH

AT 658 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST SOUTH OF
GIBSONVILLE IN EASTERN GUILFORD COUNTY MOVING SOUTH-SOUTHEAST
AT 10 TO 15 MPH.  GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL HAS BEEN REPORTED WITH
THIS STORM IN THE PAST HOUR JUST NORTHEAST OF GREENSBORO.

IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA THREATENED BY THE STORM..GO TO A REINFORCED
SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS..LARGE HAIL..VERY HEAVY
DOWNPOURS AND FREQUENT DEADLY LIGHTNING.

THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE THE FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS..CREEKS..
UNDERPASSES AND LOW LYING ROADWAYS. AVOID DRIVING ACROSS AREAS WHERE
WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
