...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR ALL OF THE NORTHWEST PIEDMONT AND
   SURRY COUNTY IN THE NORTHERN FOOTHILLS OF NC UNTIL 900 PM...

AT 415 PM RADAR SHOWED A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER
WESTERN WILKES COUNTY IN THE NORTHERN FOOTHILLS OF NORTH CAROILINA
AND ALSO OVER NORTHERN YADKIN COUNTY IN THE NORTHWEST PIEDMONT.
THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 15 MPH.

THESE STORMS MAY FURTHER INTENSIFY AND PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...
LARGE HAIL AND FREQUENT DEADLY LIGHTNING. ALSO DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT
OF THESE STORMS...SOME MINOR FLOODING OF ROADS AND STREAMS MAY OCCUR.

PERSONS IN THE NORTHWEST PIEDMONT AND NORTHERN FOOTHILLS SHOULD REMAIN
ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND SHOULD TAKE SAFE
