SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 AM MST
FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL ARIZONA
 
   ...EAST CENTRAL MARICOPA COUNTY...WHICH INCLUDES THE GREATER
PHOENIX AREA.
 
 
LARGE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED RAPIDLY IN THE PHOENIX AREA AFTER 10 PM.
WEATHER RADAR INDICATED THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE VERY INTENSE AND CAN
PRODUCED VERY STRONG DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH WITHIN THE
NEXT 2 HOURS.
 
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH.
 
IN ADDITION... HEAVY RAIN WILL LIKELY ACCOMPANY THESE INTENSE
THUNDERSTORMS AND PRODUCE LOCAL FLOODING OF STREETS AND WASHES.
 
THIS COULD BE A DANGEROUS STORM.
 
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAUSE DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL AND DEADLY
LIGHTNING. MOVE INSIDE A REINFORCED BUILDING OR STORM SHELTER. GO TO
AN INTERIOR ROOM OR HALLWAY ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. STAY AWAY FROM
WINDOWS.
 
WATCH OUT FOR FLASH FLOODING. STAY AWAY FROM STREAMS AND AVOID NARROW
STEEP WALLED CANYONS. DONT DRIVE ACROSS FLOODED STREAMS OR WASHES...
OR INTO FLOODED CITY STREETS OR UNDERPASSES.
